My simple nature prompted me to reply, the very next day, 26th November. View some extracts from it:
- In my mind the purpose ofbai’tis to be afforded the true and certain Straight Path in practice, and to gain contentment of the heart and firmness in Imaan.
- The reasons for coming are:
2.1 Visiting a divinely chosen Buzrug.
2.2 Moulana Roomi (Rahmatullahi alaih) says:
یک زمانہ صحبت بااولیا
بہتر از صد سالہ طاعت بے ریا
A time spent in the company of the Awliya
Is better than a thousand years of Ibaadat without riya
2.3 As long as I am present, I will be afforded the opportunity of looking and listening to many good things.
2.4 Du’aa-e-Khair for myself.
2.5 Benefiting from your beautiful sayings and statements is also an objective.
2.6 I have also heard much praise of Janaab’s practical life.
2.7 The state of a person’s Ilm can be realized through his books. However, experiencing his practical life is only possible by being present.
- From my side, the intention is to be quiet and just look and listen. Yes, if Janaab tells me, then I shall say something. My intention is to come firstly for a short period. Thereafter, if my nature takes a good impression and Janaab Wala also desires then I shall plan on coming for an extensive time.
- The reason for me not stressing onbai’tat your hands is that I read in Janaab’s works the following:
“For spiritual benefit bai’t is not essential.
Even without bai’t, spiritual sicknesses can be treated.”
The numbering was not in the original letter. It has been included for ease of comprehending the response.
