1.2 Hair

His hair was slightly straight and slightly curly.  Its looks changed during the course of his life. In his youth his hair was lush and long. He would regularly comb and part his hair during that time. Due to the need of regular washing and grooming however, he cut it short. Thereafter he would have his hair trimmed with a scissors till the end of his life.

[In Ma’moolaat-e-Ashrafi of Hazrat Thanwi’s Khaleefah, Moulana Hakeem Muhammad Mustafa Bijnori Saheb (Rahmatullahi alaih) the following appears:

“The practice of Hazrat Wala is that sometimes he keeps his hair long; sometimes he shaves the hair; sometimes he keeps it till the lobes of the ear; and sometimes longer than that. All these (lengths of hair) are proven in the Hadeeth. They are called jummah, wafrah and limmah.”]

The colour of his beard was part black and part white.
